After the funeral is over, our care for families and individual continues... A wide range of grief support and bereavement programs are available to assist people coping with a loss.
Our funeral homes have been trailblazers in developing community programs that support local residents dealing with death.
In the early 1970s, we developed the region’s first bereavement support groups for widows and widowers, a program that continues to this day. More than a decade ago, we helped to create “Mary’s Place, A Center for Grieving Children and Families”, a nonprofit organization where grieving Connecticut children and teens can share their experiences, receive support and find comfort.
We are involved with local grief counselors and community organizations, and maintain our own resource center and library on topics related to dying and bereavement. Our staff works closely with clergy and physicians to provide team support to families, and we participate in crisis teams and loss awareness programs at high schools and colleges to help students deal with loss. Please contact any one of our funeral homes to learn more about how we can help you.
