Frank W. Carmon, III, also known as Bill, is a graduate of Windsor High School, Class of 1970. He graduated Cum Laude from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in 1971, receiving the Mu Sigma Alpha Award, Dr. John McAllister Memorial Award and New York State Funeral Director’s Award.

Bill is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Selected Independent Funeral Homes, and the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association, and is Past President and member of the Hartford County Funeral Directors Association. Bill serves as President and Director of the South Green Memorial Funeral Home in Hartford, CT, and is also the Business Manager and member of the 1st School Society of Windsor. An active member of the Masonic Lodge, Bill is Past Master, Past Trustee and Past Treasurer of Washington Lodge #70, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons; Past District Deputy of Grand Lodge of Masons in Connecticut; Past President, Treasurer and Present Trustee of the Masonic Building Association; and Past President of the Past Master’s Association of Washington Lodge. Bill served as a 4-term member of the Board of Trustees of the Masonicare Corporation, and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ashlar Village, Inc. He is a charter member of Nathan Hale Consistory, a life member of the Charter Oak Chapter of DeMolay, and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish-Rite Valley of Hartford.

A life member of both the Salmon Brook Historical Society in Granby, CT and the Windsor Historical Society, Bill is also a twenty-seven year member of the Windsor Lions Club, serving two terms as President, and is a member and Past President of the Granby Chamber of Commerce.

Bill is the recipient of Masonicare’s Luke A. Lockwood Medal for outstanding service to Masonicare in Connecticut, and a recipient of the Pierpont Edwards Medal in Bronze for outstanding service to Connecticut Masonry. He was a member of Troop #149 BSA, where he attained the rank of Life Scout, and was also the recipient of a Community Service Award from Long Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Windsor, where he serves on two building committees and is Past Trustee and Financial Chairman.

Bill is married to Wanda Glowacki and they have three children: Lisa Carmon Petkis, married to Bernard Petkis; Frank W. Carmon, IV, and Timothy Harper Carmon, married to Kristin Rowe. He has two grandchildren, Kyle and Evan Petkis.
