Betty M. (Miller) Priddy, age 84, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Priddy, died Saturday (July 7, 2012) at Vernon Manor, Vernon. Born in Houlton, ME on June 17, 1928, daughter of the late Horace and Hilda (McPherson) Miller, she had lived in Vernon for the past 63 years. Betty was a longtime member of the Rockville United Methodist Church, Vernon. She enjoyed traveling, church activities, and the many events associated with family and friends. She leaves three children and their spouses, Glenn and Denise Priddy of Emerson, NJ, Karen and Alec Braley of New Milford, and Sally and David Towle of Manchester; two sisters, Doris LaRocque of West Hartford and Idella Brunoli of Naples, FL; ten grandchildren, Amy and Wojtek Wierzbicki, Megan, Kelly and Shannon Priddy, Rebecca and Christopher Goodrich, Kristy and Keith MacKenzie, Joseph and Beatrice Mayo, Robin and David Fecso, Derek and Polly Towle, and Ryan Towle; and, seven great- grandchildren, Mikey, Kloe, Haley, Nathanael, Kora, Alexa and Max, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Burnes and Arnold Miller, and Florence Holbrook. The funeral will be held, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Rockville United Methodist Church, 142 Grove Street, Vernon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Her family will receive friends, Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon.
