Charles (Chuck) Murphy, 51, loving husband of Jeannie Williams Murphy, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday May 12, 2013, at their home in West Palm Beach, FL. Chuck was born January 28, 1962; he was raised in South Windsor, the youngest child of the late Raymond and Alvira Murphy. Chuck joined the Job Core and went to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he learned more about one of his greatest passions, cars. He was taught to paint and the craft of body work, his passion lead him to his position at Sikorsky Aircraft in West Palm Beach, FL, painting helicopters for the military. Chuck and Jeannie spent most of their free time hanging out by the pool with their two German Shepherds, Cain and Bella. He loved his job painting helicopters and tinkering around the house or in the garage. He loved martial arts and always wanted to take advanced classes, he read everything he could find on the subject. He spent a lot of his time recently taking care of his very cherished and loving wife, bringing her to doctor appointments, chemotherapy treatments and kept his promises to stick by her in sickness and in health. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie, sisters, Sharon Thomas and husband Jerry of Lincoln, NE, Joyce Downing of Willimantic, brothers, Doug Murphy and his wife Nancy of Enfield, and Ray Murphy and his wife Kimberly of Glastonbury. Mother-in-law, Kathryn Williams of Long Island, NY, brother-in-law, Timothy Williams of Brooklyn, NY, sister-in-law, Lorraine Waller and her husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 993 Main Street, South Windsor. Burial will immediately follow Services at Center Cemetery, located directly behind First Congregational Church. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home of South Windsor has care of arrangements.
