Victor Raymond Bellott, of New Boston, New Hampshire formally of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. Son of the late Urbano and Fortunata (Bellot) Bellott, he was born in Torrington, CT on July 10, 1932, the youngest of seven children. In 1976 Victor and his family moved to Yellville, AR, where he was an active member of the community, a church member, a business owner, and a figure in local politics. He resided in Yellville for twenty years before moving back to Torrington to care for his sister, Mary. Victor was a man of many interests. Among his greatest passions was gardening, in which he excelled as a master organic gardener. He also had a passion for anything Italian - culture, food, language, history, and music. He could often be heard singing opera throughout the day as he always had a song in his heart. Victor sang in choirs, in his home, and in his garden that gave him so much joy. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in Torrington and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Victor was a devoted and much adored father who sacrificed greatly for his children. Victor leaves a son, Thomas G. Bellott of Conway, AR, and two daughters, Elizabeth A. Michaud, her husband Brian, and their son Matthew of New Boston, NH, and Katharine M. Bellott of Minneapolis, MN; a brother, John A. Bellott of Granby, CT, as well as many treasured nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Rasinski, Adelaide Servi, George Bellott, and Alfred Bellott. At the request of his family, services will be private.
