Emily Ellsworth (Jennings) Hollman, 86, affectionately known as "Em", beloved wife of the late Rev. Elward D. Hollman, formerly of Windsor and Avon, died Monday, (January 16, 2012). She graduated from Northfield/Mount Herman School, attended Emerson College, received her BA from UCONN, and her MA from Syracuse University. Em married the late Rev. Elward D. "Ozzie" Hollman in 1949, while he was in seminary after serving in WW II. They moved to Windsor in 1953, where Rev. Hollman served as Rector of Grace Episcopal Church until the late 1970s. Em was employed at CIGNA for 18 years, serving as one of the first female officers, retiring as Assistant Director of Development and was Editor of CIGNA's Corporate newspaper for several years. Em is survived by her daughter, Sarah H. Jennings and her husband Gregory Dixson of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Blair E. Ackerman and her husband Krys of North Canaan, Emily Beach and her husband Daniel of Wheelersburg, OH, and Foster Ellsworth Dixson of LA, CA; and three great grandchildren, Anna and Sophia Beach and Krystin Ackerman. Besides her beloved husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia McClanahan and her sister, Patricia Hitchcock. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19, at 4 PM at the Grace Episcopal Church, 311 Broad Street, Windsor. A reception will follow the service.
