Mary T. (Hill) Hayden Obituary

Mary T. (Hill) Hayden, 85, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Edward J. Hayden, died Monday, (May 14, 2012) at home. Born in Springfield, MA on December 14, 1926, daughter of the late James and Mae (Wise) Hill she had lived in East Hartford before moving to South Windsor 17 years ago. Before retiring she was a teacher and was employed by the East Hartford Board of Education. Mary enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, the ocean, traveling and bridge. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church, South Windsor. She leaves three daughters, Maura Hayden-Walker and husband, Daniel of South Windsor, Kathleen Richmond and husband, David of Baton Rouge, LA and Ann Pelletier and husband, Glenn of South Windsor; six grandchildren, Jason, Kayla and Lindsey Pelletier, Patrick Richmond, and Brendan and Kyle Walker; and several nieces and nephews and some dear cousins.
Family and friends may gather, Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. Her family will receive friends, Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
