Corrine Crumbie Obituary

Corrine Crumbie, 69, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. She was born October 9, 1942 in Jamaica to the late George Crumbie and Iris Wright. She was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the King's Chapel Church of God in Hartford. A jovial and fun loving woman, she will be missed by all her family and friends. She leaves her two sons, Conroy H. Crumbie and his fiancée Jacqueline of the Bronx, NY; Michael Somers of Hartford; and her adopted daughter, Elaine Scott-Roberts, also of the Bronx, NY. Her brothers, Clarence, Calvin, and Cleveland Wright, Milton and Paul Crumbie, sisters, Fay Brown, Hyacinth Hill, Hope, Angela, Joy, and Winsome Crumbie. She also leaves her granddaughters, Shardai, Madison, Ashley and Tiffanie Crumbie, her grandson, Aszai Ellison-Somers, as well as six great grandchildren, Kimani Crumbie, Jr., Imani, Chase, Maliki and Kayden Crumbie, and Shanese Bennette. In addition to her parents Corrine was predeceased by her son, Derry Reid, and her grandson, Kimani Crumbie. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, May 25, 11 a.m. at the King's Chapel Church of God, 400 Woodland St., Hartford. Her family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.
