Edna Fahey Broderick, 1914-2012, wife of the late Henry M. Broderick, Jr., passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Bickford Health Care Center in Windsor Locks. Former residents of Hartford, Edna and Henry moved to Windsor in 1964. They enjoyed their life in Windsor and belonged to many civic and church organizations. Edna was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Gabriel Parish. She was a loyal employee of the State of Connecticut and the City of Hartford in several secretarial positions. Edna was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield to the late Patrick and Edna Dixon Fahey. She is survived by her son Patrick of Windsor Locks and his wife Mary, her daughter Kathleen Leber of Belmont, VT and her husband Abe; five grandchildren, Patrick Broderick and his wife Susan, Brian Broderick, Maureen Broderick and her partner Michel Fisher, Rebecca Zelis and her husband Mark, and Jeremy Leber and his wife Molly; three great-grandchildren, Luke Zelis, Emerson Zelis, and Iris Broderick. She also leaves a sister, Marion Cunningham of Enfield and numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family members. Edna was predeceased by her sister Margaret Donahue, her husband George and Mary Elizabeth Donahue of Enfield, and her brother-in-law, Harold Cunningham, also of Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor with entombment following in Mount St. Benedict Mausoleum, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT 06095.
