Barbara Dorothy Werminski Obituary

Barbara Werminski, 89, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (December 8, 2012) in Hartford. Born in Hartford on November 6, 1923, daughter of the late John and Frances Agnes (Smalis) Werminski, she was a lifelong resident of Hartford and was a graduate of Hartford High School, Class of 1943. She was employed for many years at Loring Studio and at the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford before her retirement in 1988. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, doing artwork, sewing, and spending time with her friends. She was a lifelong communicant of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford. She leaves two nephews, John Werminski and his wife Margaret and Jeff Werminski all of California; and two great nieces, Amy and Jennifer Werminski of California. She also leaves three close friends, Mary Kapler, Jean Roncaioli, and Gloria Williams. She was predeceased two brothers, John and Stanley Werminski. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Waszkelewicz South Green Memorial Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford, followed by a Funeral Mass, 11 a.m., at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
