Monique (Beaudin) Bergeron, 80, of Windsor, beloved wife of Fernand Bergeron, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Windsor Rehabilitation, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 8, 1932, in Canada, daughter of the late Philippe and Alice (Fournier) Beaudin. Monique came to the U.S. in 1962 and lived in Hartford, before moving to Windsor in 1980. A resident of Windsor for over 32 years, she was a communicant of St. Gertrude Church. Monique will be remembered as a quiet woman who enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She danced and enjoyed music, was an avid reader of French novels, played Bingo and spent time working with word games. She became a U.S. Citizen in her early 60's and was proud. A kind, caring, loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all. Along with her husband of over 60 years, Fernand, she leaves her daughters, Anne Dutil Carriere and her husband Lionel of Quebec, Canada, and Lisa Pare and her partner Janice San Souci of Windsor Locks; her sisters, Lorraine Beaudin and Carmen Proulx both of Canada; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brown and her husband Dan of Enfield, Melissa Dutil and Dominic Baron of Canada, Crystal Dowd and her husband Andrew of Phoenix, AZ and Steven Dutil and his wife Isabelle Gaudreau of Canada, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Beaudin and sister, Denise Labrecque. Her family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012, 10 a.m., at St. Gertrude Church, Matianuck Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Enfield.
