Karl C. Johnson Obituary

Karl C. Johnson, 63, beloved husband of Margaret "Maggie" Johnson, died Monday (December 17, 2012). Born in New Britain, son of the late David and Josephine (Barattiero) Johnson, he lived in Bristol for many years. He served as New Britain fire fighter for many years and more recently had been a long distance tractor trailer driver. Karl was a member of Valley Community Baptist Church, Avon. Besides his wife Maggie, he leaves a son, Karl Johnson, Jr. of Waterbury; two step sons, Eric Stockman of Monroe and Jason Fisher of Bristol; a brother, James Johnson of Palm Harbor, FL; two sisters, Jean Johnson of Palm Harbor, FL and Carole Tortoro of Canton; step grandchildren, Amber Fisher and Cailinn and Sian Stockman; and several nieces and nephews. Karl's family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon.
