Nicole (Anglard) Pierce, 83, of Windsor, died peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born on July 29, 1929, in Chantilly, France, daughter to the late Marcel and Cecile (Allard) Anglard. Nicole came to the U.S. in 1956 and has resided in Windsor for over 50 years. She was a longtime member of St Bernard Church in Tariffville and most recently became a member of St. Joseph Church in Poquonock. She was a talented woman who enjoyed knitting, sewing, cross stitch and crocheting. She generously gave of her time, knitting for the homeless, soldiers and for church family. A kind, caring and devoted, mother, sister, grandmother , great grand mother, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all. She leaves her children, Glenn M. Pierce of Plainville, R.J. Pierce of Fortuna, CA and Nicole H. Fabrizio and her husband Mark of Windsor; her sister, Paulette Fonzes and her husband Rene of Montpellier, France; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Virginia Clark of IN and Betty and Walt Stanley of Glastonbury, her brother-in-law, Don Brooks of Cyprus, CA, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister in law, Marion Cosgrove and Judy Brooks. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 1747 Poquonock Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield.
