Virginia (Murray) Pinnock, 83, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Reginald V. Pinnock, died peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born on January 4, 1930 in Clarendon, Jamaica, daughter of the late Master Balty and Birdie (Williams) Murray. Virginia grew up in Jamaica and moved to the United States in 1969 to Cleveland, Ohio, then she settled in Hartford in 1970. She worked for the Institute of Living in Hartford for 23 years and retired. Virginia was an active member of the Gethsemane Church of God. A kind, caring, and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all. She leaves her children, Bevon Pinnock of Hartford, Wilton Pinnock of Jamaica, Regina Pinnock of Hartford, and Joan Coleman of Bristol; her brother, Archie Murray of Canada and sister, Irene Cotterell of England; nine grandchildren, Bryson Pinnock, Andrew Pinnock, Christina Pinnock Torsu, Tannya Hylton, Jonathan Pinnock, Shicarrie Pinnock, Kendall Pinnock, Keila Myles and Joanna Coleman; nine great grandchildren, Andrall Pinnock, Bryson Pinnock Jr., Annya Robinson, Malik Hylton, Bismark Yaw Elijah Torsu, Aiden Jarrett, Gabrianna Diaz and Dior Pinnock; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in Jamaica, England and Canada. Her family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. They will receive friends again on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at the Kings Chapel Church of God, 400 Woodland St., Hartford with a funeral service to follow at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
